A FREE online programme that takes a positive approach in helping schools
become more aware of the health & safety issues, regulations
and legislation associated with RSI & DPI injury and claims stemming
from and related to computer use.
KidzSafe empowers schools with current knowledge in this area enabling them to
undertake a more qualified assessment of their established Code of Practice on safer computer use or otherwise
shows them how to generate an effective Code of Practice if
one does not already exist .
KidzSafe is in accordance with New Zealand regulatory body statutes and can be
run effectively, with very little interference in the school's day
to day operations.
KidzSafe can be conducted by the school's OSH officer or by any staff member/s nominated to undertake the programme.
We Provide an Easy Step by Step
Guide to Follow:
STEP.1. Enrolment into the National KidzSafe Schools Programme.
Schools can register online from our website. Registration also activates
the FREE access to the programme information.
STEP.2. Accessing
the KidzSafe Schools Programme.
Once a school’s online registration form has been successfully completed
and received by us. An access key /code key is provided allowing online
access to all of the programme information.
STEP.3. Conducting
your School's Assessment.
KidzSafe information makes it easy for the nominated delegate/s to conduct all
of the assessments, compile and record all of the data collected
and then generate a Summary Report.
The Summary Report becomes
the foundation document for any and all variations and amendments
to the established Code of Practice or
the founding information for the production of a Code
of Practice.
KidzSafe also offers practical user enhancements and solutions to identified and
proven trouble areas.
STEP.4. Recording and Implementation of New Code of Practice & Policies
KidzSafe provides the means in which to either re-write or write the school's Code
of Practice relating to safer computer
use. This step also provides an array of devices and techniques
useful in overcoming any identified trouble areas and assists the
school with the implementation process of their newly adopted practices.
KidzSafe is supported by an online Help Desk.
