Neck and Shoulders
Awkward posture and poor computer station arrangements can all contribute to injuries in the neck and shoulders. Unpleasant stiffness, soreness, and strain on the neck and shoulders frequently affect the daily computer user. Although most problems with these parts of the body are associated with the muscles, long-term exposure can lead chronic problems such as tendon and skeletal disorders.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health reviewed over 40 studies that examined neck and shoulder injuries and found strong evidence suggesting poor working posture and static posture increases the risk for musculoskeletal disorders.
